Blackfell Collection – 17 Bags
Thank you to volunteers from Keep Washington Tidy, Rotary members and MP Sharon Hodgson (also answering Residents questions) had a productive morning on Blackfell collecting over 17 bags of litter and numerous other items, lots of abandoned trolleys. We also thank the lads from the Council for collecting all the above and also the Fly Tipping.
Washington Asda Staff Litter Pick
Washington Asda staff Carried out a litter pick at Albany park collecting nearly 30 bags of waste, some equipment supplied by Keep Washington Tidy. Great effort by Maureen and the team, thank you.
Blackfell Village Centre Tidy Up
Maureen, Brian and Bernie between us have spent 15 hours over the last 2 days cleaning up Blackfell Village Centre. Pruning shrubs removing litter and dead shrubs and glass that was embodied into the soil around the MUGA and Play Park.
Three Blackfell Amigos
Three Blackfell amigos,Barbara, Brian and Bernie spent a couple of hours removing all the broken glass under the railings and clearing around all the footpath edges. Notice the size of spade that Brian had. (Just saying).
